Number 68 is a few steps away from spectacular coastal paths:- turn right for the splendid regency town of Ramsgate with its stunning architecture and attractive Royal Harbour , or left for the route to Margate, along white clifftops and sandy beaches. A five minute walk will take you to Broadstairs boutiques, ice cream parlours, bars and restaurants and the new, stylish Westwood Cross shopping centre is only 2 miles away.

For the enthusiastic cyclist the 28 mile circular Viking Coastal Trail offers an opportunity to travel round one of the most attractive leisure cycle routes in Kent.

If you are looking for a day out there are many choices:- the beautiful medieval town of Sandwich (7 miles) the spectacular cathedral city of Canterbury (20 miles); Deal with its quaint fishermans’ cottages and interesting boutiques (9 miles). The more adventurous traveller might even take a day trip to France via “Le Tunnel” from Folkestone!
